new york feng shui consultant: That's just BAD BUSINESS! Feng Shui in New York--And a Word about MINDFULNESS - 04/20/09 03:33 AM
It's Just BAD BUSINESS!  Feng Shui in New York--and a Word about MINDFULNESS!
Feng Shui Consultants in New York may have it rough these days.  Many people in The Big Apple turn to Feng Shui because they BELIEVE in it. They are becoming educated on what the lovely Art of Feng Shui IS---and what it ISN'T.  It IS about MINDFULNESS, about treating others the way you would like to be treated yourself.
It ISN'T about BASHING other Feng Shui Consultants.  You may not agree with them or may practice from a different perspective but how can you CLAIM to be "Mindful" … (38 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: New York City's Feng Shui Consultant..The Confusing Bagua's of Feng Shui - 04/02/09 03:06 PM
New York City's Feng Shui Consultant--WHICH BAGUA?
Revisiting the BAGUA---Actually, the BaguaS
As a New York Feng Shui Consultant for almost 13 years, I KNOW the Bagua.  For Goodness sake, I sometimes TEACH Feng Shui and teach each and every client the Bagua so they can apply it to another space...their office, for example.
Imagine my surprise when I came across ANOTHER Bagua.  A DIFFERENT Bagua.  When I Googled for more information, I came up with at least Three different Bagua maps for Feng Shui.
If they weren't drastically different, I wouldn't have thought that much about it.  After all, Feng … (32 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: What's a New York Feng Shui Consultant to DO? - 03/15/09 04:54 PM
Oyster Bay Long Island New York--No More Feng Shui?
There is always so much to see and do in the lovely town of Oyster Bay Long Island and I spend a great deal of time there.  I often write about it and show pictures of my favorite places.
That ended today.  Despite the cold temperatures, Laura and I decided to stop for a breath of fresh air on our way back from a Feng Shui Consultation.  One of our favorite places is The Planting Fields, a historic site in Oyster Bay New York.
In New York if you want to visit … (26 comments)

A Feng Shui Consultant in Oyster Bay Long Island
Sometimes I believe Long Island has Feng Shuied itself.  Just a tiny glimpse of the wonderful Spring that we've all been waiting for came on a day that was predicted to break a record and hit 60 degrees.  The weather men were off a bit.  Long Island hit 70!
I don't believe ANYONE stayed home.  Laura and I decided to head up North to the lovely town of Oyster Bay.  It was time to reconnect with Nature, spend time OUTSIDE after a very long winter.  As you can see in the photos, … (23 comments)

Feng Shui in Long Island-A feng Shui Consultant's Dream
On a recent Feng Shui Consultation on Long Island, I arrived at my client's home early.  As I waited outside I began to reflect on what a journey it was to get to where I am today.
It was a difficult period in my life; going through a divorce with small children and finding myself having to work six days a week-and feeling a pull SO STRONG to join this Feng Shui Study Class that I kept hearing about.  The very first class in the United States that was licensed and accredited … (51 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: A New York Feng Shui Consultant's Retrospective for 2008 - 12/31/08 02:38 PM
A New York Feng Shui Consultant's Retrospective for 2008
I am a big believer in looking back just long enough to see if you're heading in the right direction going forward.  Seems that many of us are doing that more this year then any other with the unexpected in the Market and some of the challenges and difficulties many of us have faced this year.
My year has consisted of an ongoing battle with my home, fighting a municipality, more workers in and out then I care to remember.  But what do I want to focus on going forward?  I also … (30 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: Feng Shui HEALTH--A Feng Shui New York Consultants Views - 09/08/08 02:02 AM
Feng Shui and Health Issues:  As a Feng Shui Consultant and Teacher, I have written about what I consider to be things to watch out for in Feng Shui that relate to health--which I am ALWAYS mindful of.  I have written about Leaks as they relate to Feng Shui, Ceiling Fans (which most of my clients do NOT want to part with), some staircases depending on the placement and the way they were built....and BEAMS.
Some of these have what is called in Feng Shui "Cutting Chi" or "Cutting Sha" which literally means they are dangerous points to stay away from … (23 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: Bathroom Feng Shui - by Feng Shui Long Island New York Consultant - 08/28/08 12:13 PM
As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York and Long Island, I am often asked questions about how Feng Shui relates to bathrooms.  Feng Shui is often very literal in the way we think of and SEE things and in Feng Shui, we think of DRAINS.
We are more careful about bathrooms because we do believe in drain energy.  Some Feng Shui Consultants warn that an improperly placed bathroom can lead to enormous issues in life.  And that's often what we were taught by a number of teachers.  Then again, there are Western methods in Feng Shui to deal with these … (23 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: It Takes a MINUTE to Make Someones' Day by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 08/24/08 03:07 PM
As a New York Feng Shui Consultant, I make suggestions all the time regarding peoples' private and personal spaces, their homes.  I have learned to carefully phrase things so they don't come out sounding harsh or critical in any way.  The power of the words we all speak is so strong and it stays with people for a very long time.  You are remembered by your words and actions and I am careful to leave a good memory.
I had stopped in my local 7-11 in Wantagh Long Island the other evening for a cup of coffee on my way to my temporary home.  … (38 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: Feng Shui in New York Baseball? by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 07/08/08 04:58 AM
Feng Shui in New York Baseball?  You better Believe it!
As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York City and Long Island, it was interesting for me to read that a reporter with an interest in Feng Shui had called a Consultant to both Shea and Yankee Stadiums, both being torn down this year to have new ones built, to evaluate them.  I will be posting her thoughts on her site visits to the new stadiums being built soon to see what her choice is for the "winners" of New York.
Personally, I am going to miss the "old" Shea Stadium.  … (18 comments)

new york feng shui consultant: A New York Feng Shui Consultant in Beautiful Oyster Bay by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan - 05/21/08 02:53 PM
A little Feng Shui in gorgeous Oyster Bay.
New York has it's share of beautiful places and there is nothing quite like the "Gold Coast" of Long Island in New York. The estates there are stunning as is the land.  Many sit right on the water and the views are spectacular.  Acres of the beautiful land have been preserved as The Planting Fields Arboretum and it's a spectacular place to visit, wander the grounds and for a Feng Shui Consultant, to reconnect with nature and some of the most spectacular flowers that bloom all Spring and Summer.
That was my idea … (23 comments)
