nyc feng shui: Is Having Plants In Your Bedroom 'Bad' Feng Shui?
- 10/19/16 03:35 AM
Question: I am in the process of Feng Shui-ing my NYC apartment and I read putting plants in the bedroom is bad. Then In a video, I hear plants are good Feng Shui. What would you suggest? The answer to this is, yes and no. How so? Looking to the scientific facts about plants, in the evening time most plants give off carbon dioxide. That is not ideal when we are sleeping. Being sure your bedroom is set up for optimal rejuvenation and healing is essential. The exception for plant lovers out there is, if you have a

nyc feng shui: Feng Shui Insight: Old age does not always equal Wisdom
- 05/22/13 11:30 PM
Feng Shui Insight: Old age does not always equal Wisdom Many think in order for you to have wisdom you must be of a certain age. Please remember, you can be of any age, in fact I have seen children who have more wisdom and then the adults around them. We refer to people who show wisdom at a young age as Old Souls. Wisdom comes from mental, emotional, physical and spiritual experiences weather from this lifetime or past. For most it takes multiple lifetimes. How does one gain wisdom? One way, a hard way at times, is through first

nyc feng shui: Hoarders of Long Island New York -- Can you use some FREE Help?
- 11/08/09 12:53 PM
Hoarders of Long Island New York...Can you use some FREE Help? (This is an old post from 2009. The Free service is no longer being offered. A local News Station was in search to help certain individuals with hording and during the year of 2009 they have completed that offer.) Hoarding is becoming a more serious problem on Long Island NY. There are many people who have such a difficult time letting go of objects that they begin to clutter their home. These items are usually saved because they "may be needed at another time" or a person or persons feels some kind

nyc feng shui: The Ups and Downs of Buying a Long Island NY Home...This isn't easy for NYC Feng Shui Consultants!
- 11/07/09 10:49 AM
The Ups and Downs of Buying a Long Island NY Home.....This isn't for NYC Feng Shui Consultants! After being on the fence so long about whether or not to purchase a different home on Long Island NY, it was a huge relief in itself to have made the decision to go ahead with it. I'm thrilled and now I actually can't wait! THIS is why my buyer's are calling for some Feng Shui to help get their home sold. I'm probably feeling every emotion a homeowner who has been looking to buy (and sell) has felt at one time or another.

nyc feng shui: The Art of New York City Feng Shui
- 07/08/09 08:13 AM
Feng Shui ART? Or ART of Another KIND? We ALL know Art is subjective. After all, Beauty IS in the eyes of the beholder. Some see beauty in every day objects and, if you're REALLY lucky, others will see it, too. Recently, after a New York City Feng Shui Consultation a friend convinced me to stop in MOMA The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. You really don't have to twist my arm to go there, it happens to be my favorite Museum in New York City. I theorize that it's because of it's DESIGN---Light and open and airy; you never

nyc feng shui: Be Kind -- REWIND by Feng Shui Long Island Consultant
- 06/28/09 01:38 PM
I was going through some old VHS tapes the other day hoping to be able to part with some. I have so many and although I still have the player for them I don't use them very often. One was from an old video store; I'd apparently racked up so many late fees, I bought it and it had a sticker on it that said "Be KIND -- REWIND." It made me recall that often when I rented tapes, I'd have to rewind them as the person who had rented it before hadn't bothered. It's sad to me they had to

nyc feng shui: You Have Reached 1-800-PSYCHICS
- 05/21/09 02:51 PM
I AM a New York Feng Shui Consultant; I am NOT, however a psychic. Please don't get me wrong, I do believe there are some very special people out there that have true "Gifts." I'm not one of them and actually, I'm glad. I don't believe I'd want to know the future for myself OR see it in others. Years ago while working in The New Center for Wholistic Health I was speaking to a woman who had stopped by the desk. I don't recall what we happened to be talking about but I do remember quite clearly she told

nyc feng shui: New York Feng Shui Art: What's 650 HOURS of YOUR Time Worth? by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan
- 06/30/08 03:16 PM
New York Feng Shui Art? What's 650 HOURS of your Time Worth? I have always grown up with a love of ART. All different art in all different medias. Recently on a Feng Shui Consultation in the lovely town of Huntington, Long Island, New York I came across some amazing artwork I wanted to share with you. As you probably already know, artwork in Feng Shui is very important. We use art to address the elements or to "back yourself up in life." We can add what's missing or simply signify something significant in Feng Shui with the use of artwork.

nyc feng shui: Feng Shui In a New York City (Manhattan) Apartment by Feng Shui Long Island & New York
- 05/23/08 02:25 AM
Feng Shui in Manhattan I have been doing Feng Shui Consultations for so long now, it's rare for me to get "stuck" on what needs to be done. I can usually spot what's wrong almost immediately, I have no problems choosing paint colors (along with my client's tastes) and I redesign some spaces that look beautiful when they're done. I had an appointment last week to help choose color choices and Feng Shui for a New York City Apartment.....Nothing unusual about that. As with all clients, I sat down first to speak to my client to see what she was hoping

nyc feng shui: You Meet the People You are Supposed to Meet (Sometimes more than Once).......by Feng Shui Long Island, New York
- 04/16/08 02:51 PM
I hate to blame the bearer of bad news; it’s really NOT fair. I’ve noticed lately that I’m beginning to dislike the arrival of my mailman. Since I have gotten out of the hospital, the bills have been coming faster then I can keep up. You would think they might let you get a bit WELL before they’d start sending these things. Funny with what I’m paying for an individual policy (over $800.00 per month); it amazes me what is NOT covered. Things that you wouldn’t know about, of course, unless you required a hospital stay. I will have to wonder if

nyc feng shui: INTUITIVE Feng Shui by Feng Shui Long Island
- 01/05/08 12:52 PM
I believe we ALL have some Intuition. This isn't to say that we always USE it or even acknowledge it, but it's there none the less. The more you choose to ignore it, the less it will come. There is something called ‘Intuitive Feng Shui.' Some Feng Shui Consultants practice by this method only, they use their intuition to guide the changes they feel a client should make. And some clients have it as well, though they are often unaware of it. When I am speaking to a client prior to a consultation I will always ask what they know of Feng
