On a Saturday afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely hike along the Castle Rock Trail in the Diablo Foothills Regional Park in Walnut Creek, CA. Entrance into the park is free and you have miles and miles of fantastic trails to explore. For how who wish to stay more local, you can play and picnic in the East Bay Regional Recreational Park, which is within walking distance of the trailhead parking.
If looking for a wonderful place to take the family (including fur babies) or just enjoy by yourself, this is a wonderful location to check out.

Looking for a tasty treat while visiting Walnut Creek in California? Look not further then at A Sweet Affair Bakery. This little gem is family owned and operated. It was first established by Terry Babcock in 1984 and now run by his two daughters, Sarah and Jennifer. What keeps this bakery unique from most? They bake everything from scratch using no preservatives, palm oil or lard.
You will not be disappointed with this old time bakery flavor and charm. The homemade bread is amazing and if you need more then just cup cakes, the sandwiches are also amazing!
