The Palm Springs CA area experienced a fairly nice little lift to finish off the year. December 2010 reversed the slight inventory increase we had in November. Total properties for sale fell to 7,415 a drop of 285. While 837 properties went under contract - this was an increase over November. Sales activity in the 7 major cities of the Coachella Valley had 739 homes sold - an increase of 81 units over November 2010 and our very best month since June 2010. Other important statistics show the fewest number of new listings coming on of any month in 2010 - just 1,184 new listings. … (0 comments)

Sunrise Park is located in Central Palm Springs California. It is a large neighborhood with many architecturally significant homes. Currently there are 16 active lisitngs and the neighborhood has a median sold price point of $380,00 With 23 homes sold so far in 2010. Inventory levels continue to decline and good homes in well maintained conditon are selling well. More short sales are coming on the market than Bank owned homes. The Month of May was surprisingly busy in Palm Springs. Typically mid April is the end of our traditional season and many snowbirds leave. With graduations and people gearing up for summer May has not really be a strong month for sales in the past. However, this year with the great first time buyer programs and unprecedented bargains in REO and Short sale properties the Activity was fantastic. For Palm Springs proper our sales activity was as follows: In May of 2009 we had 58 homes & 70 condos sell with another 75 condos going into escrow and 97 homes!
