northern virginia realtor: Springfiled, Va information center - 03/02/11 01:43 AM
Hi All,
Back in 1957 when I was born, we lived in North Springfield. One of my 1st memories was sitting with my mom on a hill watching the Beltway (495) being build in 1961 and 1962. Originally a "bedroom" community for soldiers coming back from WWII and Korea, Springfield is now the southern Hub of the Washingtom Metro Area. The "mixing bowl" handles more traffic than any other crossroad in the country! The Beltway and 95/395 all come together to make this one of the busiest traffic areas in Washington. We have fantastic shopping and amentities.

Herndon is one of the older towns in Northern Virginia. When I 1st moved to Vienna in 1963, the only high schools in western Fairfax County were Madison, Fairfax, and Herndon. Herndon has a cute old towne that boasts summer evening concerts and ice cream socialbles.
Herndon is a great place that's just outside Dulles International Airport and a simple drive straight through to downtown DC. Come visit Herndon and be amazed at it's inner beauty!

northern virginia realtor: Reston, Va bulletin Board - 03/02/11 01:40 AM
Hi All,
My 8th grade final geography/history project was on Reston, Va. a "planned community" in 1971. I still remember doing the research with Jackie Fox and Mike Harkness! We went to the new community center and took a tour of the new town and spent 2 days hearing proposals and seeing future plans. Almost 40 years later so much of what was than a vision is today a reality. One of the very 1st self contained planned communities, Reston is now a viverant community where you can live, work, and play all within a square mile. It's a tremendous place … (0 comments)

Hi All,
Another great Northern Virginia Town. We moved to Vienna in 1963. Back when Vienna was a small rural town on the outskirts of Washington DC. My 3 brothers and I loved the small town and the freedoms that came with it. It was and still is a great environment to bring up a family. Vienna is now one of the best locations to live in the Country. Rich in diversity and amenities, it has everything a family could want. Location, location, location!
