Tampa Bay's real estate market continues to be a hot commodity. Recent reports indicate that home prices in the Tampa Bay area are almost back to the levels reached in 2006 before the bubble burst - can that really be true? The latest numbers in Florida show the median sales price at the end of October at right about $220,000 - a 12% increase from a year ago! There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Tampa area these days. One of the newest is the development of Tampa's first "public market hall" in the historic brick Armature Works building- which dates back to 1911 - located along the Hillsborough River just north of downtown Tampa. Think - a farmers market and local main street shops all under one roof - similar to Seattle's Pike Place Market, Eastern Market in Washington, D.C. and The Oxbow Public Market in Napa, California, to name just a few.
