There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Tampa area these days. One of the newest is the development of Tampa's first "public market hall" in the historic brick Armature Works building- which dates back to 1911 - located along the Hillsborough River just north of downtown Tampa. Think - a farmers market and local main street shops all under one roof - similar to Seattle's Pike Place Market, Eastern Market in Washington, D.C. and The Oxbow Public Market in Napa, California, to name just a few.
