Strong gains have been a story across Northern Virginia including Loudoun County. Loudoun had the strongest year I would say compared to past few years. Both new construction and resale home were in high demand, especially in Aldie and Chantilly area. If you were in the market since the beginning of the year you know the houses came by and went away. Loudoun county real estate market started the new year with a mixed bag of numbers. We had a strong increment in the sales price along with low inventory and reduction in days on the market. The number of homes that went under contract was lower compared to last year. New contracts may be low due to holidays plus cold weather which is typically associated with our beginning of the year housing market.
New construction has been doing very strong especially in Aldie (20105) and Ashburn (20147,20148). Builders are dictating the terms of the contracts while offering lower incentives. Buyers are still drooling … (1 comments)

Realtor® are actively and aggressively marketing homes for sellers and searching the best homes for the Virginia home buyers. Northern Virginia Sellers are doing everything to make the home attractive..But no offers!. Buyers are previewing the home as soon as listing comes on the market and making a decision to submit an offer or not ASAP..but losing to bidding war! Surely the end of the year was spectacular for most of the Realtor® in the Loudoun County area of Norther Virginia. While lot of home sellers in the Northern Virginia area were debating whether to keep their home active on the market or take if off for holidays...the one who decided to stay active on the market paid off. Housing market in the Northern Virginia area has seen some very extreme ride through out 2014. Beginning of the year, winter was harsh so market was dead. Spring market sound promising! While Summer market was a dead beat market. Now we are in fall market has been sluggish but improved over summer housing market. What will end of this year bring? Sequestration was a HOT word that was much talked about in the March as most of the cuts were effective as of April.
