While the headlines about DC metro has shocked many but it is a true fact "DC Metro Closes 2011 with Lowest Inventory Level since August 2005". The same fact goes about Northern Virginia real estate market. We have seen a deep decline in the inventory of homes compared to last month or a year ago. Some factors may be due to moratorium on foreclosure by the banks during holidays, decreased in short sale listings and/or typically holiday housing market.
