Northern Virginia area of Fairfax county has seen a sluggish growth since beginning of January 2016. 
Over the past few months, housing market reports have shown a slow and steady growth compared to the neighboring Loudoun county housing market. 
May was the strongest month. We finally saw a rise in the sales volume, inventory is still high but a drop in new listing did help to clear inventory and get the homes under contract. Average pricing are still slightly below last year!
