They both have sibling rivalry yet common traits of being siblings. Both the counties in Northern Virginia had a strong 2017. Loudoun had a leverage since homes are newer and many of the buyers especially home buyers who have an option to telecommute choose a newer home over an older home in Fairfax County. Many of my clients are wondering if the changes in 2018 deductibility of State and Local Taxes (SALT) and property taxes to $10,000 will impact housing market in Northern Virginia especially Loudoun & Fairfax County.
My initial sense is the low end or starter homes housing market will be fine. Since the rental market has been very strong (it was considered cheaper to buy than rent).  Answer: We all know condominium comes with larger condo dues; which includes condo insurance. The insurance generally extends to the entire property including the units themselves. Remember, the large master policy also has huge deductible. Example recently when I was review condo docs for one of the Reston condo building the master policy had $10000 repair deductible. If the condo association has to pay that huge they may assess a special assessment to the unit owners.
