Should you sell your home or rent it out? Choosing to become a landlord could be the better financial decision if you have financial security. However, just like any other investment, it comes with a price. In order to determine whether or not you're actually ready to be a landlord, consider asking yourself these questions. Its an old English saying but stands so true for this situation. My client who relocated to the Virginia area and decided to rent before they buy for a year. Beginning of the summer they informed the landlord that the A/C unit may need to be serviced since cold air was not blowing. The landlord ignored, after several no response from landlord my folks contacted me. I emailed the landlord agent if he can touch base about the situation. Never heard back from either one of them.
