Inserting your You Tube Video in your ActiveRain Profile...I have been asked by several Newbies on how to insert a You Tube video into their profile page. As promised, here is my version on how to do this. While, there may be differing opinions on how to accomplish this task, I have done a short video which I feel is short, concise and succinct. Although I do use a MAC, this process will work on a PC. I prefer to use Fire Fox for editing as it does interface well with ActiveRain and appears to be a more stable browser. … (23 comments)

Every year, on New Years day, I go to the Opryland Hotel and have breakfast at the Cascades Restaurant. Afterward, I go for a walk through the many atriums and gardens that encompass the Opryland complex. Overall, there are approximately 9 acres of walks and gardens, divided into 3 separate areas. Each has its own unique theme. These are the Cascades, Delta, and Garden or Magnolia Conservatories. My two personal favorites are the Cascades and Magnolia rooms. Friday's Fotos...Photography is an art form. Sometimes, the artist will see a subject and manipulate the light by using filters, camera settings or even photo-shopping to bring out the desired effect. Shooting in the field is a different story. Being at the right place at the right time is the photographers equivalent to winning the Lotto. I call it, just getting lucky. I really got lucky to capture this scene in upper Michigan a few years back...

Keying on the right color...Chroma-Key or green screen technology is a studio technology that has been around for awhile and is constantly improving. When I got my MAC, I was fascinated that iMovie had the ability to do chroma-key or green screen. As quickly as I was enamored, I was just as quickly dissatisfied with this program due to its lack of control and functions. Good quality video requires good quality software. Period! Is it any wonder that this quaint town was named one of the top 10 Best US neighborhoods by the American Planning Association? Downtown Franklin, TN is Tennessee's first neighborhood to get this designation.I will be doing a video blog on Downtown Franklin, TN later this week.
