homes for sale in raleigh: Social Media No No's
- 10/15/09 04:50 AM
How often do you receive a FRIEND REQUEST on Facebook from someone you don't know? Do you accept it? How often do you track someone on Twitter who just has good info or witty comments?
What is the draw to meeting new people or tracking new products and services? As an expert in Raleigh Real Estate here in North Carolina, how can I offer value to help the public?
I personally think people misunderstand social media to be an ADVERTISING HEAVEN! That isn't the case... It's about building value, establishing yourself as a trusted information source and providing (5 comments)
"I just had a call from a charity asking me to donate some of my clothes to the starving people throughout the world. I told them to get lost!!!!! Anybody who fits into my clothes, isn't starving!!"
Did you enjoy the chuckle? I sure did! Sorry to trick you but I needed to get your attention. My Aunt really did send this me along with 30 other jokes. Here was my other favorite.
CNN research ranked Raleigh/Durham, NC as the smartest city! Interesting information about my area. I relocated here for college in 1995 and I was amazed at all the benefits the area offered. 2 hours to the beach 3 hours to the mountains Easy access to Interstates to head North or South (and it's about half way) Job and Career Opportunities that are growing daily Inexpensive Taxes compared to other areas in the country Knowledge flowing with TONS of College's and Universities within 30 miles Nightlife and Events for all types of ages Family Friendly towns with bigger city (0 comments)

Great article for nervous first time home buyers, people considering selling a home in Raleigh, Cary, Durham or Wake County. We live in a solid area that is still growing. I'm watching comments across my TweetDeck and I'm happy I live here!
Raleigh-Durham, N.C.(14.7 percent, up 3.6 points). A mix of government jobs, higher ed, healthcare, and technology has helped this progressive area pull off a neat trick: Population is growing at a healthy 3 percent rate, but the unemployment rate remains one of the lowest in the state. Vacancy rates will rise slightly in 2010 and some tenants (0 comments)
homes for sale in raleigh: HUD Foreclosure FRUSTRATIONS!
- 08/04/09 05:10 AM
There are some great deals out there in the Raleigh, Durham, Wake county area's. Foreclosures are not flying onto the market but there are still good deals to be had. Here are my FYI warnings for HUD foreclosure purchases: 1. Here in NC it, HMBI and HUD now require 5 days to review a HUD settlement statement...make sure you're closing dates match this or you'll need to file an extension! 2. Some lenders will not allow the $100 down payment option if there is a repair escrow attached to the contract. Make sure your lender checks the underwriting guidelines before you (0 comments)
homes for sale in raleigh: Did I Really Tell Someone NOT to Sell Their Home?
- 07/30/09 06:26 AM
Is it possible that selling a home is not a smart idea even if you have equity AND you want to move? YES...a refinance might be a better financial decision for some people. I have past clients who purchased a home when rates were a bit higher (7%). They would prefer to move but after a review of the homes on the market, they didn't see much that they liked. They figured it would take a few months for their home to sell anyhow, so they called me to stop by for an appointment. Just so you know, when I set (1 comments)
homes for sale in raleigh: Sometimes it DOESN'T Make Sense to Buy a Home

If you already walk a tight budget line...don't over extend yourself just because a lender says you can! Often times buyers get qualified for a loan and on paper, they can afford a HUGE amount of money. Stick strong to your monthly budget and don't feel pressured to spend more. Take a serious look at your financial picture and decide if buying is a smart choice when you're already clinging by your fingernails!
If prices are still dropping...don't buy quite yet unless it's a LONG Term decision. If you're looking to make a quick buck on a home in the (0 comments)
