Remember the stories about the old west? This precious town just west of Durango has all the charm and flavor of those stories. Rugged terrain, high desert with beauty of mountains and occasional rushing streams combine to create the perfect visuals for western drama. Mancos itself is a very small town. Many of the antique buildings house the essentials for the residents to avoid excessive shopping trips to Cortez, Dolores or Durango.
