showing: Getting it SOLD!

Just a couple of basics made themselves obvious when we were showing a couple of days ago. When we arrived at one of the scheduled properties, we knocked on the door, rang the bell and waited. When there was no answer we exercised our lock box key and entered. We toured the kitchen, half bath and living area. Suddenly we heard our client talking to someone. She said, " there is someone here!" The someone asked me if our appointment had not been earlier. I told her that we had asked for 1-5 since the properties were spread out a good distance. We made our yearly pilgrimage to the Rodeo this week. A bonifide day off, we decided to savor every aspect from the shopping venues to the stock shows! After walking for a couple of hours we sought places to sit. One of the arenas was featuring the judging for the champion cows and bulls. I know precious little about cows, but Ralph was raised on a farm and his grand folks had a dairy farm, so I settled in to watch and learn. What happened to appointments? Imagine my surprise when I glanced out the kitchen window and saw a young couple walking down out driveway toward the back yard gate.I heard him call to her "it is locked!"Wonder what they would have done if it was open?!They headed back toward their car which was parked across our driveway.This is the 5th time since our house has been on the market that folks have tried to just come on in!Two of those were agents!
