On Saturday,December 20, 2008, Burchfield Group members (Judy Carlton, Jerry Blackburn, Bob Ramsey, Kathy and Rand Burchfield) of Topsail Island and SeaCoast Realty were at the Food Lion in Hampstead. The food pantries in four counties - Brunswick, New Hanover, Pender and Onslow will be the recipients of the overwhelming generosity of the residents of Hampstead and the Food Lion store.

Well, the third and final parade of the season (for The Rand Burchfield Real Estate Group, anyway) was Saturday, December the 6th. We put a holiday wreath on the front of the truck, lit it up and we were off to Topsail Beach from our main office in Surf City! Joining us were team members Linda Blackburn, Judy Carlton, Bob Ramsey, Dot Cotman and myself and Kathy. Not able to be with us were Justine Warner (our executive assistant) and Bill Hunt, a long time associate and buyer agent. As you will note from the photos, Lilly and Pearl had … (1 comments)

hampstead: Farmer's Markets and Topsail Island - 09/09/08 11:56 AM

Pictured above is one of our favorite places to stop at the Famer's Market held in Poplar Grove each Wednesday. Mary Wootten (the owner and chief cake designer) has one of the most original ideas, combining popcorn, peanuts and chocolate candies to make delicious "cakes". Also in the market are pickles, vegetables, plants, peanuts, grapes, orchids, wines, candles, handcrafted jewelry, breads and cookies and the most fabulous fresh cut flowers. Visit Mary's new website at www.poppincakes.com and tell 'em we sent you!

hampstead: Living on Topsail Time - 07/08/08 02:35 PM

Jet skis are a popular form of transport up and down the Channel.

As for boats, we have 'em. Sail, motor, yachts, sportsfishers, they are all here!

This is just one of the marinas either on the island or close by. This is the Harbour Village Marina, located just off the Intracoastal in Hampstead. We also have a full service marina, The Beach House, on Topsail Island. Topsail is a favorite spot for wintering for many of the boats on their way back south after spending the summer months up north. Topsail Island is viewable from … (0 comments)

hampstead: Open House Week End at CBSCR! - 04/20/08 08:35 AM
I would imagine that most of us sit an open house or two these days. The month of April begins prime OH season on Topsail Island. Coldwell Banker Sea Coast, our "mothership" had 210 open houses spread over 4 counties this week end. That is remarkable participation by CBSCR agents and brokers. The weather co-operated and we had a number of people at our open houses both on Topsail and on the mainland. Now, to be considered wildly successful, we need a couple of contracts by the end of the week!
We are still very optimistic about the remainder of the year. We are … (0 comments)
