There are signs all around, that the real estate market in my area is recovering. Today I held an open house at an older home near the Mililani golf course and had the largest turnout I have seen in at least a couple of years. We may have multiple offers coming in.

Evan Zheng, a Mililani Middle School student traveled to Las Vegas to play in the 2010 National Open Chess Tournament and is returning home with $6078.00 in his pocket. Evan was one of several Hawaii chess players to compete in the event. Being an open tournament there was no age restrictions, Evan competed with adults in his rating section. After 7 rounds Evan finished in clear 1st place in the 1500 and under section ("C" class) with a score of 6.5 points (6 wins and 1 draw). Today Celeste WooHoo Sally Cheeseman and I had the pleasure of having lunch with Washington DC well known Realtor® and blogger Patricia Kennedy and her good friend Dick. We had a wonderful time hanging out at The Shack in Mililani talking stink (story) about other bloggers here on Active Rain. It was great to finally meet her in person. I was reading a post from William Feela titled, Why do you tip your Server. This blog post got me thinking about how treating others will impact your business. Looking back I can think of many examples in my business. Here are three that stand out. I have sold three homes through the employees of the Jack-in-the-Box across the street from my office. One of the employees there got her license and joined my company. We recently sold a co-listing together and help each other.
