When I was a full-time practicing agent out there in the trenches an opportunity came-up for me to volunteer for my local board. Called Grievance Committee, I was told I would sit on a panel and hear situations involving ethics and agents in real life scenarios. I thought that this could become quite helpful so I volunteered. The best thing I ever did

I got the initial call. My local Board of Realtors Real Estate counsel recommended me to first time buyers. I have a short sale that would make a perfect first time buyer investment too. However these folks wanted another area. After much dialog, I decided that these buyers will need some TLC and told them I would be referring a top notch agent to them for that area.

Now here is good management at work making difficult decisions but at least making them. While there may be some short term pain involved for the organization, the long term effects will be preserved. It is this type of thinking that has to catch on through the various industries. Gasoline or oil, Real Estate, banking institutions, lenders, credit reporting agencies all must remain sensitive to change unless all the players get wiped from the playing/paying field
