comic books: THIS IS A HOLD-UP GIVE ME YOUR POINTS - 09/24/14 11:55 PM
POINTS...? Yes and if you mess with them, there oughta be a law. In real life, they don't mean much but in the world of virtual reality they have standing. They are a close cousin of ranking and ranking has distant family called status and of course status means that you have achieved something. I get it.
For something that doesn't matter.....It walks, talks and acts like something that does...POINTS....Every-time you close an escrow, you should get points...POINTS
ADDING POINTS
1. You should get points for waking up in the morning. Add points if you drink coffee, exercise or wash your car regularly. If you … (24 comments)

comic books: WHY DO THINGS HAVE TO BE SO DARN EXPENSIVE - 07/17/12 01:37 AM
Whatever happened to the fun part of buying something? I am referring to a time in my growing up years where you could take a penny and go the store and have so many choices on what to spend it on. Let me remind you that there were even things that sold as 2 for a penny. Unbelievable, but true.
THOSE WERE MEANINGFUL TIMES
Now if a penny can do all that and mind you I am a kid, then a nickel can open you up to things that bring joy and wonder. A nickel means you may need a bag to … (4 comments)

comic books: MY FIRST PAYCHECK WAS FUN AND EDUCATIONAL too - 06/27/12 08:10 AM
When you are a kid and you discover the power of money, life becomes very interesting indeed. Now, all those things that you see that you want can be yours with little or no effort. For me, it was the paper route or delivering newspapers. I already was riding a bicycle all over town all day long, so when I found out you can get paid..GET PAID?
IT'S WAITING FOR YOU
I contact the local guy and he says sure no problem. That was my first real lesson in life. Ask and you may get. Don't ask you don't get. It's … (4 comments)

comic books: ANT FARMS...BEFORE REAL ESTATE FARMS, CROP FARMING...ANT FARMS - 07/18/11 01:36 PM
They used to advertise them in the back of comic books. As a kid, I used to find them fascinating when you saw them in large amounts any where. You can follow their trail until it goes into a tiny hole somewhere. Some guy didn't settle for that. He went ahead and let us view what happens when they disappeared....he created the ant farm
ONLY IN AMERICA....$$$
It is an amazing thing really. You would see them in toy stores everywhere. I used to read the boxes and it would tell a fascinating story and the pictures were good too. Of … (6 comments)

comic books: MOVIES, POPCORN, CANDY....ITS NOT A PERFECT TIME, BUT A GOOD TIME - 05/23/11 03:47 AM
The quality of movies continues to disappoint. Until they make things that make sense first and then money second...well that will never happen. I went to see Thor because I collected the comics growing up. The movie is flawed and the plot trite, but seeing on the big screen helps the medicine go down smoother
MOVIE POPCORN...YUM
I haven't had movie popcorn in a while which is really decent popcorn mixed with a special popping oil. It is a calorie generator, but it soothes the savage beast. I decided to add a candy to it and studied the choices..Junior Mints leaped … (3 comments)

comic books: THE VENUS FLY TRAP......and raising children - 05/17/11 02:19 AM
You have heard about this plant. When I was a kid, I couldn't believe that this plant existed and did the things it does. They used to advertise in comic books so it is a quality product. It secretes a sweet smell designed to attract a fly or small insect and once on board, the trap is sprung and you cannot get out...Then, slowly it releases a fluid that starts to dissolve the catch over time....
THIS IS A MUST HAVE
I went and bought one of these things in my younger years. It looks like it is from another planet. … (4 comments)
