eating: ARE YOU READY FOR THE CRASH? (holiday theme) - 12/13/15 10:40 PM
I am sorry to be a party poo-per or a Holiday downer but as sure as you are reading this post, the subject matter will visit with you. Those of you who are spending, charging, eating excessively, and going up, up and up are coming to the second half which is to come down right after the Holidays are over. The crash!
DEBT
We all like to give and receive. Be aware that Holidays generate a powerful marketing program that is hard to resist and advertisers, manufacturers and retailers rely on this time of year to balance their books and show a profit. Thus the campaign to buy all … (12 comments)

eating: I ATE UNTIL THE FOOD WAS GONE - 07/17/15 05:05 AM
When I was a kid, ignorance was truly bliss because kids live uncomplicated lives as a rule. I was one of those. I had holes in my shoes, was always hungry but content, and thought playing was the greatest thing in the world. You don't know (or care)  when living out your childhood what will affect or stay with you until later, when you grow-up
FILLED UP
For me, it came in the form of food. I remember getting my very first job that brought about a paycheck. I wanted to spend it on food. Not just any food but foods I liked and all I can … (25 comments)

eating: $18,000 DOLLAR WEDDING - 11/07/14 11:22 PM
I got to see and appreciate what this type of money being spent for a wedding does and how much good it can do. We have all heard about about tens of thousands of dollars being spent on lavish weddings and I never thought it a good investment. Of course, many would disagree. Please do
WHOSE PRACTICAL?
Practically speaking, that's a starter home down payment and if not, it sure is a step in that direction. A car perhaps? But lets look at what you get for the money. Weddings are the coming together of two people and the concept is two-fold. … (20 comments)

eating: I WENT TO THE POMONA FAIR - 09/05/14 11:04 AM
This is not my first time and I know what to expect when I do go. Be prepared to spend your hard earned money and I mean at shocking prices too. The allure of this place certainly dominates the value received. $10 for a turkey leg. A decent sized ice cream or dessert, corn on the cob, BBQ, or any type of food is somehow five to ten times the price?
THE KID SIZE
I went to buy my first goody. It was an Italian ice which is simply delicious and if you add it to a hot day and the sights and sounds, it even … (7 comments)

eating: FLAME COOKED MEATS CAN KILL YOU? - 07/22/14 09:50 AM
I got news for everyone who is eating BBQ or anything else for that matter...You are going to die whether you eat this or not. The 104 year old Grandma said it best when asked what she would have done more of...EAT MORE ICE CREAM. Look, I don't take drugs, smoke or drink and that is not my point. My point is that I want to live life and eating what I like is part of that living for me
DOES TOFU CALL YOU?
I don't live to eat, I eat to live but when I do consume, I want it to be something … (7 comments)

eating: DON'T MESS WITH SUCCESS THE McRIB SANDWICH STORY - 07/21/14 06:58 AM
Decades ago, when I was raising my kids, one place that never needed to be brought up twice was if I said lets go to McDonald's. Not... lets go get something to eat. NO. That would bring up discussion about where to go and what people wanted and to get five people to agree where there would be a happy ending was the never-ending  work of a parent. With McDonald's, everyone always seemed to be in no matter what
LESS RULES-MORE FOOD
Before we continue, when I was a teenager, I worked for McDonald's. I worked all the stations too. Back then, there was … (6 comments)

eating: GOING TO THE BEACH - 06/22/14 12:08 AM
I went yesterday and the weather was perfect, the water surprisingly warm, the waves surf-able and the never ending array of people does not disappoint. All ages, families, sizes and shapes, there they were from singles to groups doing what you may ask? It is so simple it bears mention
MEDITATION COMES NATURAL
First off, everyone is facing the Ocean. There is something about being around water and the effect of it that we all share all over the world. It does calm and sooth. People like to gaze out over the water without being told to do so. When you add … (8 comments)

eating: ENVIRONMENT ALWAYS INFLUENCES YOUR MINDSET - 05/08/14 01:28 AM
Where you go and what occupies your time is called your environment. Environments shape the way we think and feel as well as respond. It can influence you for the better or for the worse too. Take nothing for granted because your environment has an agenda too
YOUR LIKE KIND
In school, if you hang out with A students, you pick up their habits before long. Same with socializing with church groups, bikers and barflies. I am making the point that whatever you visit with and get into... will visit with you and get into you too
SUBTLE INFLUENCES
If you keep watching violent movies, chances … (8 comments)

eating: EATING IN A MOVIE THEATER - 09/16/13 05:31 AM
It's true and I am coming clean. I am guilty and will probably give myself up if I am contacted without a fight. Notice to all movie houses yes, I have violated your no outside drinks of food policies when visiting your theater. However, let me share why I have done that and perhaps we can learn from this
I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY YOUR RENT
You pricing is too high. I know why it is high (overhead) but that doesn't help me want to buy. It makes no sense to purchase something in the theater for up to 4 times … (27 comments)

eating: WEIGHT CONTROL HAY IF STAYING IN AND OATS IF GOING OUT - 06/27/13 11:30 PM
The title of the post had to do with weight control. I learned it from watching horses and their work-outs and routines. My observations and research revealed that if a horse was to be corralled or confined, they fed them hay and that was just fine for energy levels. If the horse was to hit the trails or work-out, oats was given to increase the energy and endurance
HUMANS TAKE NOTE
Now why wouldn't or couldn't this be applied to a human being? if a person sits in their car or at their desk all day or all week long, then … (4 comments)

eating: TOO MUCH SEX IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU - 06/25/13 03:17 AM
Well look who is interested in exploring the possibility that TOO MUCH SEX can be harmful to your health. Yes, it is true and it comes under the heading of TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING is not good for you. Remember the feeling from over-eating? How about wanting to get home after a long trip away? What about watching too many movies and becoming bored?
You see, there is a very over-looked rule especially in America. It is called LESS IS MORE. This rule, has no place in a capitalistic society thus it is over-looked and sort of GONE....but not forgotten. It … (10 comments)

eating: TRUE REAL ESTATE TALES: EATING WHILE VERY BUSY WORKING AT YOUR DESK - 06/22/13 11:09 PM
I recently did a post about driving while eating and using your knees no less to steer with and now out of fairness, I want to share another controversial habit that while allowed is not necessarily the best way TO GO (this is a pun to be revealed). You see there are times I am so busy that I barely have time to eat and I know if I don't, I will crash and be less effective. But, I don't want to stop or perhaps I cant find an opening where to stop
HEY!...EAT AT YOUR DESK

eating: TRUE REAL ESTATE TALES: EATING WHILE KNEE DRIVING YOUR VEHICLE - 06/21/13 11:33 PM
First a warning not to judge me on what I did in youth. I was young, energetic, can never die, my senses and reaction time sharp and crisp, full of energy and open to adventure. My common sense was not fully developed but I had a like-able attitude and learned fast too. I keyed in to maximizing my time especially while driving. No car, GPS or cell phones back then but still lots to do and get done daily
I AM NOT ADVOCATING YOU DOING THIS BUT EARLY IN MY REAL ESTATE CAREER...I STARTED EATING WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT HANDS
It all … (44 comments)

eating: FOOD CRAVINGS ARE MORE THAN JUST PLEASURE - 06/16/13 01:08 AM
Here is an interesting subject we can all relate to because we all have this one thing in common. WE EAT. But why we eat the foods we do remains subjective. Pleasure or purpose or both? I will list a few things and tell you what may be lurking beneath the surface and you explore the rest. By the way, if you are pregnant well anything goes and no explanation as to why is necessary...Pregnant ladies enjoy yourself for no reason
CHOCOLATE:
My friends, the allure of chocolate is undeniable and even those that don't like it will tolerate it. Remember … (6 comments)

eating: EATING IS A DOUBLE EDGED SWORD - 05/22/13 11:03 PM
Very often, you may find yourself standing in front of the refrigerator right after eating....What are you looking for if you just ate? Something is missing and food will not satisfy it. You keep trying to feed it so it will stop pestering you. You find out through trial and error that it doesn't go away......and then you eat again and again
WARNING: I am going to be discussing something that some people may find sensitive. It is not my intent to single anyone out, make fun of them, or judge them. This post......is submitted for our benefit......

eating: WITH BEANS and RICE YOU CAN RULE YOUR WORLD - 05/15/13 02:54 AM
When I first got married, we were poor, but in love. As the months went by and I tried to get a break, my wife used to tell me that as long as we had each other, she would be happy living under a tree. This statement empowered me to not strive, stress or become ruthless to get ahead. At the same time, it motivated me to provide a nest for her and I......I went about making a living....just working hard that's all

eating: THIS BEARS REPEATING AND EATING RIGHT NOW - 04/12/13 07:01 AM
This is something that bears repeating and should be enjoyed more often.....It is nothing new, but if done correctly can add up to one of life's little pleasures...It's tasty, filling, smells good while cooking, looks good and does satisfy the inner cave-man or woman craving for the basic needs. It is even fun to hold and look at too...BEHOLD A FEAST FOR THE EYES
A SAUSAGE SANDWICH

eating: RICHIES LEMON PUCKERED PIE with DOUBLE VANILLA CRUST - 02/05/13 03:16 AM
Look... we work hard and we should play hard and under playing comes rewards. That leads us to the title of the post and to the picture below. I use fresh ingredients that include milk, eggs and lemons off the tree. The pulp of the fruit makes for a great after taste as well as a good binder for the mix. The results? Sheer lemon bliss
A TRUE PUCKERING EXPERIENCE
I don't like things that are too sweet, too buttery or rich and that don't compliment the palette. I have created this to be more of a FUN food but a food … (8 comments)
