When I was a kid, there would be a knock on my door and my little friend would be standing there saying can you play? Immediately I ran to ask mom if I could and she would say something like yes, no or stay in front of the house or my favorite...be back for dinner..yaaayyy FUN IS NOT COMPLEX We took off for where or what... who knows? But that is what you did. You paled around and something always came up. Sure, you can play tag, stick-ball, ball, jump rope, hopscotch or just explore. It didn't matter because you had a pal. I grew up in a Jewish/Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn New York. I would attend worship services Friday night and they were something to behold. I was never one for religion, but this ceremony moved me and still does.... JEWISH PROCEDURES Well, you have to wear a yarmulke which is a beanie type hat. Then, you put on a religious shawl, add one prayer book and you are set to participate. The cantor starts out by singing his readings to the congregation. People follow along and respond accordingly with Amens. People are bowing as they read and some read and agree with (6 comments)
