Do we allow ourselves to drift or be distracted or do we maintain a reachable and inviting alertness until an interest or prompting appears? For the one wanting to get experience and guidance, watching, listening, and then doing remains a solid starting point for anyone. How often do we see or hear about people on the job or offering services that just don't get the right training and the consumer or customer has to be their training instrument until they "get it"? Your employer should provide programs, lectures, training, materials, seminars and supervision with assistance and if not at least make it available to you and for you.
