Our last Capitol Beer Fest was held the week before California was locked down due to the pandemic and we had to postpone it this spring, but we are back. It is the number one fundraiser for Runnin for Rhett, the local charity that I support. We are dedicated to getting our community to Move Into Life. Twice a year we send coaches to local schools to train kids to run, what for many, is their first 5k. It is all free; the training, the race, a t-shirt and their medal. Capitol Beer Fest Capitol Beer Fest will be held on the Capitol Mall in Sacramento, March 7th from 12 to 4 pm. VIP entry will be at 12 and general admission starts at 1 pm. It is a very fun day with over 125 different kinds of beer (and hard cider) available. It is a very tasty and varied list. Some of my favorite breweries attending include, Alaskan, Deschutes, Guinness, Knee Deep, Yolo Brewing, and Sierra Nevada. There will be music by, The Top Shelf Band. This year the Capitol Beer Fest will be on March 2nd. This will be my fifth one and it is always a blast with over 125 brewers on hand and live music held on Sacramento's picturesque Capitol Mall.
