The Fabulous Forties neighborhood is one of Sacramento's most iconic neighborhoods. It is a stately mix of Tudor, Colonial Revival, Arts and Crafts and California Bungalow style homes. The homes have some of the largest lots in East Sacramento and many feature cedar trees that are over 100 years old. The Fabulous Forties was home to California's most famous governor and his wife, Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It is THE perfect neighborhood for the holiday season.

east sacramento: Fun Run, Is That Possible!

My family had a great Thanksgiving today. We started the day in the Run to Feed the Hungry. This is a holliday tradition in our house. Most years we run the 10K, but this year good sense prevailed and we ran the 5K. It still felt like a 10K, but what a beautiful course. We ran through some of the nicest neighborhoods in Sacramento, East Sacramento and the Fabulous Forties. Incredible older homes and old trees in their spectacular fall colors. The course also starts and finishes at the Sacramento State College Campus. If I have to run, this is the place to do it. … (2 comments)
