We moved to South Sacramento in 1987 and soon found an awesome restaurant with an outstanding breakfast selection, the Stagecoach in Sacramento. When we moved to Elk Gove ten years later, we were happy to discover that there was a Stagecoach in Elk Grove. We love both locations, but we usually visit the Elk Grove location. What is good? Chicken Fried Steak is our family's favorite, but the large portions make it best for those special occasions when you are really hungry. Ocean Fish and Chips is our favorite Elk Grove place to go for fish and chips. There are not that many places in Elk Grove that serve fish and chips, but this restaurant stacks up well against restaurants even outside the area, including a Las Vegas restaurant that I recently visited, Gordon Ramsay's Pub and Grill. I tried their fish and chips with mushy peas. The mushy peas were extremely good, but the very mushy fish was not. Gordon Ramsay must be very proud of the dish served at $30.99. I love to cook so when I go out to dinner I like something prepared well and something that is different. Todo un Poco (a bit of everything) definitely fits that criteria. The Ambiance: From the moment you walk in the door, you know it will be a different experience. Here is a small sampling of what you will see, including my favorite photo bomb of all time.

We do not frequent coffee shops often, but sometimes after church, we make an exception. We like shops that are a little different and our Elk Grove favorite is 18 Grams. It is cozy place with some tasty treats. Last Sunday, we enjoyed one of their cinnamon rolls. It had plenty of flavor and was not overly sweet. They really shine with their assortment of drinks, though. They have all of the standard selections and the not so standard, like the 18 to the Brain. It is a quad shot shaken with condensed milk.
