Our last Capitol Beer Fest was held the week before California was locked down due to the pandemic and we had to postpone it this spring, but we are back. It is the number one fundraiser for Runnin for Rhett, the local charity that I support. We are dedicated to getting our community to Move Into Life. Twice a year we send coaches to local schools to train kids to run, what for many, is their first 5k. It is all free; the training, the race, a t-shirt and their medal. local events: Shred Day at Dreaming Dog Brewery

Dreaming Dog Brewery will be hosting Shred Day in their parking lot. All proceeds will benefit Runnin for Rhett, my favorite local charity.
When: Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 8 am-noon Where: Dreaming Dog Brewery, 2501 W. Taron Ct, Elk Grove, CA Cost: Shredding truck will be onsite, $10 – Small Box/Grocery Bag, $20 – Bankers Box. All proceeds from the event will fund R4R’s Youth Fitness Program.
If you want to enjoy Dreaming Dog Brewery's new fire pit and outside facilities,they will be open this Friday and Saturday. 1/21-Buenos Aries Grill will be available serving food. 1/22-they will be hosting the musical group Innersoul … (25 comments)
local events: Happy Dogtoberfest!

Happy Dogtoberfest! It is the second anniversary of my favorite Elk Grove Brewery, Dreaming Dog Brewery. There will be plenty of festivities: a vendor faire from 1:30-4:30 pm, the Elk Grove K-9's will make a visit, the Grand Island Fire Brigade will play some polka music and it will all be finished off with a karaoke party from 6:30 to 10:00 pm. The Squeeze Burger truck will be there for most of the day making their famous cheese skirt burger! And do not forget to try one of their delicious beers. My personal favorite is their porter.
