Happy Dogtoberfest! It is the second anniversary of my favorite Elk Grove Brewery, Dreaming Dog Brewery. There will be plenty of festivities: a vendor faire from 1:30-4:30 pm, the Elk Grove K-9's will make a visit, the Grand Island Fire Brigade will play some polka music and it will all be finished off with a karaoke party from 6:30 to 10:00 pm. The Squeeze Burger truck will be there for most of the day making their famous cheese skirt burger! And do not forget to try one of their delicious beers. My personal favorite is their porter. stonelake community: Kayaking in Elk Grove

Saturday morning we spent time kayaking in the Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. We visited a private area that can only be accessed on the Wildlife Observation Paddle Tours with a guide. It was beautiful. It was peaceful. It was only five minutes from our home in Laguna West, Elk Grove and it took me and my wife over 20 years of living here to discover it. The area we accessed is a three mile slough. We were lucky the Sandhill Cranes had just showed up a couple of days ago. We also saw plenty of Blue Herons.

Stonelake is an area just South of the Laguna West-Lakeside in Elk Grove, Ca. It is a very nice area and should not be overlooked when searching for homes in the Laguna West-Lakeside area. According to Trulia, the median home sold for $263,000 for the year ending Nov. 2010 with an average price/square foot of $104.
The Stonelake community club houseis your first site coming into the main entrance of the Stonelake area. The Lakeside club house and pool, which my family frequents, is right on the lake, but I am a little jealous of Stonelake's club house area, which is sandwiched between a … (0 comments)
