Running a half marathon is for crazy people. That is what I told my wife, Mary Margaret, when she wanted us to train for the Shamrock'n half marathon. I did not run with her, but I was at the finish line as her most avid fan. Hey, it can be tough to be a fan. It was hot out there and I got a bit of a sunburn. ;o)

No, I can not drop everything and go to Las Vegas to see Santana and play golf. That is how my conversation started a few weeks ago. Like all good friends would do, they totally ignored me. thanksgiving: Fun Run, Is That Possible!

My family had a great Thanksgiving today. We started the day in the Run to Feed the Hungry. This is a holliday tradition in our house. Most years we run the 10K, but this year good sense prevailed and we ran the 5K. It still felt like a 10K, but what a beautiful course. We ran through some of the nicest neighborhoods in Sacramento, East Sacramento and the Fabulous Forties. Incredible older homes and old trees in their spectacular fall colors. The course also starts and finishes at the Sacramento State College Campus. If I have to run, this is the place to do it. … (2 comments)
