Where can you find a 4 Bedroom Cape in Brookfield CT for $135,000. Well I found one for my Buyer and even though it took months to close the deal, what a deal it was! Months had gone by to close this deal mainly due to getting a 203K mortgage so that the property could be updated. The home will require a new Kitchen, Baths and some other cosmetic work but all in all it is a solid house. This being a HUD property it did require other inspections and forms to be filled out. If living in a community that is serviced by Community Wells/Water Company, they are required by State Law to do peroidic testing. The testing done is usually more extensive than is done on a private well when you are purchasing a home. One of the newest Chemical Elements they are testing for is Uranium. The EPA maximum allowable Uranium in water is 30ug/L. If you own a home with a private well you most likely had the well tested when you first bought the home to make sure the water is potable.
