Kua Bay is one of my favorite Kona Beaches. Located in the Kehaka Kai State Park, in a spectacular setting, Kua Bay is about 10 miles North of Kailua-Kona off of Hwy 11 between mile markers 88 and 89 and surrounded by lava fields. The powdery white sand is soft on the feet and the water is warm, clear and perfect for a refreshing swim. The Kahakai Estates gated subdivision in Kailua-Kona is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods on the Big Island. This master planned, award winning community was developed by Stanford Carr LLC in a spectacular hillside setting over looking the Kona Coast. Driving through the gates you are greeted by 180 degree ocean views, tree lined streets with art deco street lamps and meandering sidewalks.
