Is it just me, or is this Christmas here too soon? I'm just not ready for it yet. It could have something to do with the fact that it's going to be 83 degrees tomorrow. Somehow, 83 degrees and Christmas just don't seem like a good match! How can we get past this heat?!?!? The real estate market remains hot too. I got another short sale listing today. We almost made it! We were so close and 6 months into it, but we couldn't take it anymore! We finally had to give up. We found a house 3 days later, made an offer, they countered, we accepted and we were off to the races! We are going to close August 18th. So, this process, from initial offer to closing will take exactly 19 days. Can you believe it? We waited 95 days for a response from the lender on our first offer on the short sale. Is that really a short sale??? There seems to be a LOT of homes advertised as a short sale these days in the Jacksonville area. I want to learn as much as I can as fast as I can, so I found a really good source for information. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a seminar at NEFAR yesterday about selling Short Sale homes. The class was taught by Maximum Success, Inc.. I was enlightened and a little surprised at the guidelines given. It made me wonder if all of the homes listed in MLS truly meet the guidelines presented at the class. Qualifications … (1 comments)
