ponchatoula: The Advocate on Tangipahoa Parish's Post-Katrina Boom - 10/31/06 09:03 AM
The Baton Rouge newspaper, The Advocate published this interesting article on the state of Tangipahoa Parish since Hurricane Katrina and the outlook for our future.
"LSU Economist Loren Scott said that in his and fellow economist Jim Richardson’s annual job-growth outlook released before Katrina, Tangipahoa Parish was listed as an area to watch because its central location between New Orleans and Baton Rouge makes it a prime target for jobs.
In the Louisiana Economic Outlook issued a few weeks ago, Scott names Tangipahoa Parish as one of two rural parishes in the state that will be a job magnet in 2007.
