Auditions for the Reese Performing Arts Company Dancers was held Saturday, August 26, 2006. As expected, there was a large turnout from individuals who aspired to be a company dancer with the best Performing Arts Academy in the entire Middle Tennessee area. The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration is giving our blue ribbons to TN Walking Horses that call Rutherford County Home! Although there was not a large number of entries from Rutherford County, the horses that did enter have placed well. Once again Murfreesboro, TN and Rutherford County have made the national news. According to information released by the US Census Bureau, Rutherford County Tennessee is now ranked number 20 in the nation for growth between 2004 - 2005. Brentwood TN was a community of farms until Brentwood Estates was developed in 1960. As more subdivision began to open in Brentwood, the city soon outgrew its water supply and starting purchasing water from Harpeth Valley Utility District. The city then purchased 27 acres and constructed a sewage treatment plan and pumping station. In 1983, the EPA placed a sewer moratorium on the city which lasted for seventeen month. This moratorium forced the closing of the existing treatment plant. It is interesting to note that this is where the one acre minimum lot requirement originally started for the City of Brentwood.
