General Information Tivoli, New York, is a beautiful little village located in the northwest part of the Town Red Hook in Northern Dutchess County, in the Mid Hudson River Valley. The region was settled in the late 1600's by the Dutch under the Schuyler Patent. The village of Tivoli was formerly known as Upper Red Hook Landing. Another community, "Madalin", was contiguous to Upper Red Hook Landing. Tivoli was incorporated in 1872, consolidating Upper Red Hook Landing and Madalin.
