For Many Years This Was North Dakota's Tallest Building.
It's Taller Then The State Capital.
The picture is a bit deceptive. This is the Garrison Dam intake structure and it is 249 feet tall (taller then the 18 story ND State Capital Building). Obviously the bulk of the structure is under water. I've taken several other pictures for you but you can see more by Googling Garrison Dam. I've mentioned the beautiful quilts that have been auctioned off for charity the first week of April in Minot over the last 31 years but I want to point out that the beauty doesn't start or end there.
It starts when an artist is inspired by the beauty that they see which God has created. The beauty carries on from that vision and from the love with-in the artist who wishes to share both, the beauty and the love, with others.

Minot ND is blessed with having 4 Christian Radio Stations broadcasting over the air. There are 3 FM and one AM stations to choose from. They are all good stations but my favorites are KHRT AM and KHRT FM .
KHRT AM is your old fashion Gospel station which is what I grew up on and was very instrumental in my coming to know and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Sex Education In Our Schools
I know that sex education in public schools is very controversial. We started our daughter out in a Christian school so she could learn everything, including sexual education, from a Christian view that matched our faith beliefs. When we found out our son has high functioning autism we knew we needed to move both kids over to the public system as the Christian School was unequipped to handle the special education he would need. We have been extreamly pleased with the results as most of the staff of this public school have strong Christian beliefs.

As a Realtor I'm glad I've only received a phone call like this once in the last 5 years. My first thought was: Did we purchase the Home Warranty?. My second thought was did I remind the new home owner to call the gas company and have the service switched over to their name on the day of the closing?

Sometimes Realtors forget that not everyone knows our lingo. If you are shopping for your first home and your agent has never explained specials to you then take comfort that you are not alone. I work with a lot of First Time Home Buyers and it is actually rare that as I ask if they are familiar with special assessments that the First Time Home Buyer knows what specials are.

This is my final report on Minot North Dakota's 6 Thrift Stores.
Building Bridges is located at 19 2nd Ave SE Minot ND. I don't know a lot about the mission of the store but I believe it supports on or more Catholic mission in town. It has some what odd hours as it is usually not open until noon and then only for a few hours. In the 8 years I've lived in my home there has been a "rain event" every year that fills the street in front of our home, the neighboring Ball Park parking lot, and the main arterial just a half a block away. Several times the water had lapped right up to the house when freekin idiots non-concerned SUV drivers barreled down the street (evidently compensating for a lack of manhood).

The Mennonite Upper Midwest Relief Sale
The annual Upper Midwest Relief Sale and Quilt auction is always held the first weekend in April so this year it's April 1st and 2nd. My bride and her side of the family spend all weekend at the sale admiring the quilts and just enjoying the fun atmosphere of the auction. There is also all kinds of food I only see when this Mennonite group meets here in Minot.
