broadcast: How Did That Work?
- 03/26/22 05:27 PM
Yesterday I purchased a podcast package, much like the one pictured above, at the the thrift store for just $1.50. I think it sold for about $80.00 or more new. It was/is a really nice package and it got me thinking about how I missed my on the air radio show, Minot Today. While I don't want the pressure of doing a scheduled radio broadcast I could still record like I did before but just do it when I feel like it and post it as a podcast. The package was/is very complete by nothing in the literature told me that the interface

broadcast: From Over the Air Broadcasting to Podcasting
- 10/16/20 12:48 PM
Time for a Change My last over the air broadcast! From Broadcast to Podcast. I've decided that the riggers of a broadcast is more then I care to handle these days. It's been a fun run for the last six years but I'm tired of it so it's time to move on to many other things as I describe here in my final over the air radio broadcast. I always post the broadcast as a Podcast here as well as my Podcast site at Pod-O-Matic.

broadcast: Flood Recovery Takes Time, a LOT of Time.
- 12/06/19 11:26 AM
If your community were to suffer from a devastating flood how quick would you think it would take for full recovery and for future flood protection? If you are thinking a year or two you need some educating on the subject. The correct answer would more likely be TWO DECADES! Minot Mayor Shaun Sipma and I visit about a couple of the components our City is currently dealing with in regards to the NDR (National Disaster Resilientsy)program. This program is very complicated and jumping through all the hoops HUD requires is a real eye opener. Minot Today is broadcast over the air

broadcast: Home Wiring Doesn't Need To Be Scary (or Shocking)
- 10/18/19 06:04 PM
Wiring is one of those things you want to "get right" in your home. Most people are wise enough to let the professionals do the electrical work but there are some do-it-yourselfers who are daring enough to do their own electrical work as well. That's fine... as long as you let the City Electrical Inspector take a look. John O. French is an electrical inspector for the City of Minot and he wants to help you get it right as well. He would be happy to take a look at your plan and let you know what will and won't work. Everybody

broadcast: I'm Going Remote
- 09/29/19 05:03 PM
My Plan for 2020 Going Remote! Part of my marketing plan as a Realtor was to get on the radio airwaves with a program about local real estate. With no real plan in mind I approached a local radio station manager and asked him if he would air my program. He said sure. It probably didn't hurt that I had been advertising on his station for the last 12 years or so. Instead of me yammering away the entire time I decided my program "Minot Real Estate Today" (Now just "Minot Today") would be interviews with local, influential people. The interviews were a good choice

broadcast: Minot State University Athletics, Andy Carter 2019
- 09/06/19 06:03 AM
Andrew V. Carter Director of Athletics, Minot State University When Andy and I get together it's had to put the breaks on our conversation at the 15 minute mark that I'm allotted over the air. Andy's enthusiasm always gets me going. I'm sure it's that enthusiasm that super motivates his coaching staff and players. I find Andy to be a true "motivational" speaker. I'm sure you too will think this is one of the fastest 15 minutes you've spent listening to Minot Today. Minot Today is broadcast over the air on two Minot radio stations every Friday. You can find it on 106.9 FM
