eyeballs: Here's Looking At You... Poinsettia

A poinsettia that I rescued from 2019 by moving it in and outdoors has grown eyes and is looking back at me. I am eager to see if these are blossoms or if this is just it, eyeballs. I do not know if the teardrops are water or a nectar thing going on. I only water it from the ground (pot) I do not spray it. Can you clue me in?
