family: No, It Is Not November 24th - 07/15/22 06:43 AM
No it’s not November 24th
It doesn’t need to be Thanksgiving to give thanks. It’s good to give thanks every day not just to God but to our fellow mankind.
As I said in a recent post titled Just Doing My Part
I believe it’s important for us to thank merchants and service providers using Google Business reviews when they deserve it,
BUT
What about family? Does it have to be Thanksgiving Day before our loved ones hear us thank God for their existence?
 It shouldn’t be.
Many people, myself included, say we want to be a better parent then our Mom/Dad was to us. I knew I … (10 comments)

family: Game Day! - 11/24/18 11:30 AM
It's a family day and a day of games at the Bob Timm household today. Starting out with a dice version of Phase 10. Tina kicked butt on this one. Luck was not on my side as I came in last place.
Next, Pass the Pigs. This game has been around a long time yet I'm surprised how many people have never heard of it. It's essential another dice game but the dice are shaped like pigs. family: Chore Day - 04/23/17 02:41 PM

Yesterday was a day of chores and family. Real Estate has a way of bringing those two together. I could never do what we Realtors do without the help of my family. Ever since my children were old enough to lick a stamp, clean dads office, help decorate for holidays, my family has been behind me 100%.
Yesterday I got a lot of chores done but the biggest one was cleaning a new construction home for a special open house I will be holding this coming Wednesday. We mopped up the sheetrock dust, cleaned the counters, and washed down the driveway and … (8 comments)

family: Throwback Thursday, Ricks Wedding 1976? - 06/09/16 11:13 AM

Actually I don't even remember what year this was but as soon as my sister sees this post she will set the record straight.
Family weddings, I'm sure you have a picture like this one in a drawer or old photo album.
Back in 1976 this is how I would describe my family. Today if you asked me to describe my family it would be totally different. In 1976 it was (1st row) neices and nephews Heather, Josh, Jeremy, Chad & Stephanie. (Middle row) My sister, my mom, me, brother Rick the groom, brother Steve, sis-in-law, (far back left) bro-in-law (far back right) … (6 comments)

family: Pioneers, There Was One in Your Family. - 01/14/10 08:12 AM
This post is speaking to all Americans with the possible exception of a few Native Americans. In each of our families there is someone who made a great sacrifice and moved a long distance in an effort to provide YOU (his/her descendants) a better life. They came from all over the world to escape oppressive governments. They came to practice freedom of religion. They came to escape poverty and find financial freedom.
In your family you may not have to trace your genealogy all the way back to the Mayflower to find a daring family member. Maybe it was your mom … (6 comments)
