football: Better Late Than Never - 11/25/22 08:12 AM
I forgot that I was going to post the comic strip above by Timmothy N. Timm yesterday but isn't this a whole weekend of Thanksgiving? I don't know if you had the feast of your life but Carol treated Timmothy, I and friends to a wonderful, traditional meal yesterday.
Here is another one for yesterday.
I did not get to finish watching my game last night as it was past my bed time due to the amount of tryptophan consumed I had to quit midway through the 3rd quarter. As soon as I woke up I went to the computer (after letting the … (10 comments)

football: A Back Door To Eternal Life? - 02/04/18 04:34 PM
While shopping at my favorite store (Menard's) my favorite clerk shared this story with me.
A man found a bottle on the beach. He rubbed it clean and out popped a Gennie willing to grant him one wish. "I'd like to be immortal" said the man. Only Jesus can make you immortal the Gennie told him. The man thought and then wished "I'd like to live to see the Minnesota Vikings win the Superbowl.
I think the fellow may have very likely found a back door to eternity.
Another one I like: Why doesn't North Dakota have a professional football team? Because then Minnesota would want … (17 comments)

football: ND Moves To Philadelphia - 04/28/16 10:13 PM

North Dakota football fans have been largely divided between Minnesota and Green Bay. Now watch for The Philadelphia Eagles to move largely into 3rd if not 2nd or 1st place in the hearts of North Dakotian's.
North Dakotian Carson Wentz was the NFL's 2nd draft choice last night and he went to The Philadelphia Eagles.
Carson had a very impressive college career with North Dakota State University as their Quarterback.
Carson is a local ND boy, great athlete, and a straight A student that never even got a B in his college years.
Here is a link to the ESPN story.

football: Thanksgiving Games - 11/24/15 11:43 PM

Thanksgiving Games
Thanksgiving was always one of my favorite holidays as a kid, not because of the food but because of the games. Although I was always first in line for the pumpkin pie.
Our family was big on card and board games. Monopoly was always a must. Rummy Royal, Kings in the corner, even Go to the Dump. I think we played games from 1st thing in the morning till we all feel asleep at the table.
Back when I was a kid football was not nearly as big... yes we had TVs back then and Football existed but it just was not as … (8 comments)

football: I HATE ESPN! - 09/14/15 12:19 PM

I HATE ESPN!
Hate is a strong word... but I HATE ESPN!!!
Let me count the ways:
#1) First and foremost I hate pay TV.
I've never understood the concept of paying for TV when there has always been free TV out there. I use an antenna and receive about 13 channels. If there is nothing on them then it's time to find something else to do... like interact with a human.
#2) I love football.
I used to love Monday Night Football. Thanks allot ESPN for ruining that! I don't even get to see my teams opening night this year because it's on ESPN and it starts after … (20 comments)

football: GOD IS NOT A CHEESE HEAD??? Really? - 01/18/15 11:10 AM

GOD IS NOT A CHEESE HEAD??? Really?

I'm always amazed when after a big game they interview the winning players and they babble on how "God was with us". Such was the response after the Packers/Sea Hawks game when some of the Sea Hawks players were interviewed.
Really... God loves the Sea Hawks players and not the Packer Players. OK, I get thanking God, I try to thank him many times a day but to say God was with me because I got the listing and Coldwell Banker didn't. Hmmm, I think God loves Coldwell Banker, even I love Coldwell … (13 comments)
