If you exchanged gifts with family and friends over the Christmas holiday I hope you were pleased with what you received. Timmothy's Titus and Philemon cartoon above reminds me of when I was a child. My Grandmother (whom lived with us) had a friend who I don't ever remember meeting that always sent us kids a gift at Christmas time. It was always a hoot but that was not Mrs. Malm's intention. This may be a silly question but do you KNOW Your God? I am not going to get all preachy and give anyone a sermon today but it's a legitimate question, do you know your god? In the earliest years of my life my god was probably my Mother... she could make anything happen. She made food and she clothed me. As I got older, like teenage, my god became sex, drugs and Rock'n Roll. LOVE I think it's just incredible that anyone loves me... or you... or anyone other than themselves for that matter. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? Even if you are not "churched" what was the very first thing you were taught about God as a child? God is love. Well now we've grown up and we have to rationalize that there must be more to it. god: A November Treat

I just stepped out of my office to run an errand and was greeted with this beautiful rainbow. I'm not sure I've ever seen a rainbow this late in November in North Dakota before but even if I had it's still a great treat. A rainbow is a promise from God that things will get/be better. I often need that reminder when I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm thinking this is an opportunity to make my third entry into Debe Maxwell, CRS NOVEMBER 2019 THANKSGIVING GRATITUDE CHALLENGE as seeing this rainbow moments ago certainly has filled me with gratitude that The Creator of all things is telling me... … (30 comments)

My 1st entry into Debe Maxwell, CRS November Gratitude Challenge is that I'm thankful for knowing who to thank. Having had what I think were Christian parents growing up I'm a little surprised that when I look back that they perpetuated some of the common myths about luck to their children. I'm glad I never have clouded my children's minds with such superstitions. You know: find a penny, a four leaf clover, a horse shoe, and my favorite... the appendage of a leporidae (a rabbit's foot) and you will have good luck.
