Sometimes We ScreamSometimes Out of AnguishSometimes Out of Delight Yesterday I gave you a "heads-up" on this Saturdays North Dakota State Fair Parade. Today I am going to encourage you to find some time in the next two weeks to relax .... and to SCREAM at The North Dakota State Fair itself. I love the Fair. It means we are at the pinnacle of summer. It means bright colors, large crowds, fun sounds (love a calliope once a year), and fun food. I love seeing kids and parents have family fun. Tickets are on sale today for those who are part of "Friends of the Hostfest" and to the general public tomorrow. I've written many posts about this EXTREMELY fun 4 day event that is held at the North Dakota State Fair grounds. Although I don't believe there is a drop of Scandinavian blood in me I go every year and have a blast (just like I'm not Irish except for onj St. Pat's Day... then I'm all in). Where Summer Shines, is this years theme. Summer does always seem to shine during the week of the North Dakota State Fair and I have to say this is always my favorite week of the year. Most often the weather is very cooperative, sometimes in the 70's and sometimes up to 100 degrees. Personally, I like 100 because of the way people dress when it's 100 degrees. You can always get out of the heat by taking time to view items in the venders building, 4H displays and more. Here is a 30 second fun video about the 2016 State Fair

HERE COMES THE JUDGE... I BE THE JUDGE! I was more then a bit surprised yesterday evening when I received a phone call from this "clown" asking me if I would like to be a judge. This guy on the phone must be dizzy. Fact is.. he was Dizzy, Dizzy the Clown! The North Dakota State Fair is always held in Minot North Dakota (except last year when we were under 6' of water) and there are always more clowns around then usual.
