podcast: From Over the Air Broadcasting to Podcasting - 10/16/20 12:48 PM
Time for a Change

My last over the air broadcast!
From Broadcast to Podcast. I've decided that the riggers of a broadcast is more then I care to handle these days. It's been a fun run for the last six years but I'm tired of it so it's time to move on to many other things as I describe here in my final over the air radio broadcast.
I always post the broadcast as a Podcast here as well as my Podcast site at Pod-O-Matic.

Just this afternoon Shaun Sipma, the Mayor of Minot ND, joined me in a conversation of what's new on the Covid 19 situation in Minot. I am so thankful that the Mayor made time for me just minutes after I called him and asked if he wanted to go on air about this situation.
The Mayor had a lot to say and a lot was shocking. #1 to me is that the Norsk Hostfest is cancelled this year. The Norsk Hostfest is an international celebration that brings millions of dollars into our community. My biggest personal concern is "will Minot have a … (14 comments)

We have all heard the expression that "those that know how, do it, and those who don't teach it". My life experience has been far from that. The great majority of teachers I've been under the tutelage of were excellent achievers in the field they taught about.
Today, March 5th, and for the next month the Art instructors at Minot State University proudly present Faculty X, an exhibit of their own skills to the public.
Bill Harbort, Chair of the MSU Art Department tells us his history, his passion, and about his work on display at Faculty X.

podcast: Flood Recovery Takes Time, a LOT of Time. - 12/06/19 11:26 AM
If your community were to suffer from a devastating flood how quick would you think it would take for full recovery and for future flood protection? If you are thinking a year or two you need some educating on the subject. The correct answer would more likely be TWO DECADES!

Minot Mayor Shaun Sipma and I visit about a couple of the components our City is currently dealing with in regards to the NDR (National Disaster Resilientsy)program. This program is very complicated and jumping through all the hoops HUD requires is a real eye opener.

podcast: Home Wiring Doesn't Need To Be Scary (or Shocking) - 10/18/19 06:04 PM
Wiring is one of those things you want to "get right" in your home. Most people are wise enough to let the professionals do the electrical work but there are some do-it-yourselfers who are daring enough to do their own electrical work as well. John O. French is an electrical inspector for the City of Minot and he wants to help you get it right as well. He would be happy to take a look at your plan and let you know what will and won't work. Everybody … (14 comments)

podcast: I'm Going Remote - 09/29/19 05:03 PM
My Plan for 2020
Going Remote!
Part of my marketing plan as a Realtor was to get on the radio airwaves with a program about local real estate.
With no real plan in mind I approached a local radio station manager and asked him if he would air my program. He said sure. It probably didn't hurt that I had been advertising on his station for the last 12 years or so.
Instead of me yammering away the entire time I decided my program "Minot Real Estate Today" (Now just "Minot Today") would be interviews with local, influential people. The interviews were a good choice … (12 comments)
