radio broadcast: HOPES HOUSE, an Interview with EVETTE MELBE - 06/27/19 10:53 AM
Evette Melbe founded and runs Hopes House, an addiction treatment center. Hopes house is the only center in Minot with an on site addiction councilor and the only treatment center that requires it's patients to go through the program straight. I loved this interview and I think you will too. Of the four treatment centers in Minot Hope's House is truly unique.

radio broadcast: FARM RESCUE, Another ND Born Program to be proud of. - 06/19/19 02:07 PM
I was first introduced to Farm Rescue several years ago by the then known as News Broadcaster Shaun Sipma (now know as Minot's Mayor, Shaun Sipma). KHRT and yours truly, Bob Timm, have had the pleasure of interviewing Mayor Sipma more times then any other news outlet. Shaun and I talk about Farm Rescues birth, mission, and current status as well as mentioning that the North Dakota State Fair Parade will be lead this year by the founder of Farm Rescue, Bill Gross. I hope you will take the time to listen in and learn about this GREAT North Dakotan born mission … (12 comments)

Just what does a Sheriff and the Sheriff's office do? My guest today is Ward County Sheriff Robert (Bob) Roed and he does a great job of filling us in. Had I heard this interview when I was a young man I just may have made being a Deputy or the Sheriff my career choice.

Dean C. Rubbelke of Edward Jones is one of the many professionals who work in the same Professional Building as I and we visited today about retirement planning.
'm 65 years old so my first question to Dean was how old is to old to financially plan for retirement. Dean, a Financial Advisor, did a wonderful job of explaining why you are never to old to get your financial assets in order.
I believe you will find the next 14 minutes very valuable, I sure did.

radio broadcast: Meet Savanna Young, Sometimes known as Ace! - 04/04/19 12:52 PM
Talk about FUN! That's exactly what Savanna and I do (we talk about fun). Just talking to Savanna was a lot of fun. I think it's great that Collegiate Baseball is back in Minot for another year. As a neighbor to Corbett Field I can tell you that it used to be that I'd see about 20 people in the seats at Corbett field UNTIL The Sabre Dogs showed up. Now when the dogs play it's not unusual to see 1,000 people in the stands. What a thrill to see our Historic ball park come back to life! This is the … (7 comments)

radio broadcast: What Do You Know About Clogging? - 03/13/19 05:31 AM
I'm NOT talking about plumbing.
I'm not really refering to the shoes either, I'm talking about dancing.

Karen Hamilton and Jackie Harvey have teamed up to open "The Clogging Place" in Minot ND. Karen & Jackie were part of a performance team in Minot and when the leader of that team started talking about closing down the team they decided that Clogging must live on in Minot. Karen & Jackie want to teach the art and fun of clogging with the emphasis on FUN and not on being part of a performance team. The Clogging Place is located at 1401 4th Street SW Minot … (19 comments)

radio broadcast: Gideon's Trumpet, Minot's Only Christian Bookstore - 03/08/19 06:19 AM
Kay Eaton left the nursing field 20 years ago to start a Christian book store. With no retail experience she learned as she went along... including the fact that a Christian book store ought to have Bibles on the shelf. Gideon's Trumpet is a favorite with our family (and not just because our daughter worked for Kay). Gifts from Gideon's trumpet are special because they reflect our faith and our family is based on our faith in God.

RSI is local, 100% local! Everyone knows about the thrift store just off Broadway in the old Elks building but I had no idea just how diversified they are and the huge number of people they serve. Listen in for the details.

radio broadcast: The Move Is Nearly Final - 01/08/19 02:21 PM
I'm finally on the "home stretch" of moving. I'm out of the model home my last office was in but I still have stuff in the garage and I need to go back and clean.
I'm about 3/4 of the way into my new office with the walls painted, desks and computers set up, and almost everything set up (my stereo sounds awesome in this smaller place).
The last feature to set up is that I have an alcove type of entrance and I'm really excited to set it up but I need to add a security gate (on order from Menard's) so the … (24 comments)

Friday's radio interview on Minot Today was with Rianne Kuhn from VisitMinot.org our Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Regular readers of my blog know that I used to post all the events happening in Minot, Visit Minot was a huge help to me when I did that as they usually have about 10 events posted for every day.

radio broadcast: Today's Radio Broadcast with the Ward County Historical Society - 07/13/18 08:34 AM

This interview took place "on site" at the Ward County Historical Society with Bryan Goetch, Site Director. Brian is an excellent example of how the Minot Air Force Base benefits the greater Minot Area by bringing such high quality young people to our community who often stay after serving our country to raise their families here. After serving our country for 8 years (retiring as a Staff Sargent) Bryan attended Minot State University and graduated with a major in history and a minor in English.
