A look at the Red chart below shows there were 15 closings overall to include all properties. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 171 compared to last weeks 165 days. Over all homes sold slightly slower and for a bit more money per square foot this week.

03/17/2018 STRANGE WEEK ALERT! THIS WAS A WEEK OF ELIMINATING OLD INVENTORY! This week there were 4 homes sold (closed) in this very narrow category of stick built, single family homes located in the City limits of Minot. A look at the Red chart below shows there were 17 closings overall to include all properties. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 389 (not a typo!) compared to last weeks 87 days. 03/10/2018 This week there were 6 homes sold (closed) in this very narrow category of stick built, single family homes located in the City limits of Minot. A look at the Red chart below shows there were 14 closings overall to include all properties. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 87 compared to last weeks 158 days (nearly twice as fast). Over all homes sold incredibly faster and for more money per square foot this week.

We had another slight drop for the 3rd week in a row in home sales. We had 7 closings this week compared to 9 last week in our very narrow category of stick-built single family homes within the City limits of Minot. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 141, a slight decrease of the days on market of last weeks 166.

We had 8 closings this week in our very narrow category of stick-built single family homes within the City limits of Minot which is a nice increase over 3 which is what we have seen each of the last two weeks. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 115, down from last week's 198 (a nice improvement over last week's 198)

The question I am asked most often when I introduce myself as a Real Estate Broker is: What is the market in Minot ND now? Today's answer (3/19/2015) is that is steady but nervous. Even with the plummet in crude oil prices from over $100. a barrel to $43. a barrel the average home price on the MLS hangs out around $325,000.
