I've never met a children's museum I didn't like but the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview IL is simply the best. And what a life saver on a rainy day if you have youngsters aged between newborn and 8 years old.
The Kohl Children's Museum opened in Wilmette IL in 1985, just a few years before I moved to the North Shore from Los Angeles. The Glen - GlenviewUPDATED 2022The Glen in Glenview is a vast 1,121-acre site formerly the home of the Glenview Naval Air Station. When the Navy had no more use for the site, it was incorporated into Glenview. The Glen includes a myriad of different living styles: single-family homes, townhouses, condos, and senior living complexes.
Located in the middle is a grand shopping area that includes retail stores (both large and small), restaurants, services, and a movie theater. Plus the glorious Kohl Children's Museum, formerly located in Wilmette, is now in the Glen.
