I recently moved and wish I had read this article first! Although the move went very smoothly, there were certain things I was not prepared for. I misunderstood the number of free boxes that would be delivered. It seemed like packing material and tape were included too but actually were an extra charge. I didn't know that moving companies get so busy during the summer months that they need to rent trucks - hence a "Discount Movers" truck showed up to my house. We take all too much for granted because a move is a hectic and disruptive moment in life. No (0 comments)
moving: Cook County Migration Stats - More People Moving Out than Moving In

I came across an interesting website from Forbes.com that shows where Americans are moving, county by county. By the looks of the map, it appears that more people are moving out of Cook County than are moving in. These are the lastest numbers and are from 2008. The site does not provide numbers, just a visual that shows the in and out movement. In another study of migration from Realtor.Org, Cook County receives the majority of new residents from DuPage, Will and Lake counties. Strangely, Cook County also loses most residents to those same three counties. The two out-of-state counties that (4 comments)
