nashville neighborhoods: New Year's Broadway Bash 2013 (Nashville) - 12/26/12 02:33 AM

“In 2009, The Gabe Dixon Band, Tommy Sims and Friends, Marc Broussard, Jonny Lang, The Dirt Drifters, and Rodney Atkins performed to a crowd of 15,000 party-goers on the streets of downtown Music City. At midnight, a giant lighted guitar dropped 80 feet and set off a fireworks display that welcomed 2010. The 2009 event was so much fun, we decided to do it again. Damien Horne, Heidi Newfield, Will Hoge, and Phil Vassar headlined the 2nd annual Music City New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway on December 31, 2010. Just 8 months after the historic floods of May 2010, 25,000 people came out to celebrate the outgoing 2010 and incoming 2011 in … (0 comments)

nashville neighborhoods: Neighborhood Compatibility Questionnaire - 10/02/12 08:06 AM
In the adapting world of real estate, many often forget the crucial impact cultural studies plays on the industry's success. We've been dominately impacted, over and over again, by the market's "negative numbers" for the last decade that realtors and the people alike are asking for something different. We want more fun, excitement, and what is most fitting to help with recovery and sustain its survival.
It's the very questions we've been pondering since our company's inception: How do we reach out again? How do we add some spice where the traditional recipe has grown dull? How do we bring the LOVE? We began to pull statistical information from previous voting polls, list what specific … (0 comments)

nashville neighborhoods: Music Calls Us Home - 09/25/12 02:14 AM
HOW IN THE WORLD can a smaller Southern city acquire a moniker like Music City USA? Since its inception, Nashville, Tennessee has gained a worldwide reputation as being the best place to write, produce, record, and tour musical works. Here’s how it happened.

nashville neighborhoods: Nashville Recreation: Radnor Lake - 09/20/12 01:50 AM
Radnor Lake State Park provides scenic, biological, geological and recreational opportunities not found in other metropolitan areas. L&N Railroad Company impounded Radnor Lake in 1914 to provide water for its steam engines, and intended to use the area as a hunting preserve for company executives. Migrating birds soon found the lake and began wintering there. In 1923, L&N's executive vice president stopped all hunting on the land and declared it to be a nature preserve. The company sold it to developers in 1961. It became the first State natural Area in 1973, with a diversity of natural habitats ranging from the … (0 comments)
