When my family moved here in Fall of '81 we landed in North Austin. Not just North Austin, but at the time Anderson Mill Rd and 183 was faaarrrr North Austin. There was no Arboretum or Domain, Lakeline did not exist and there certainly was no upper / lower deck of 183! For our family there was no reason to travel South of the River (aka Lady Bird Lake or Colorado River).
