Although technically a desert region, the Columbia river is the dominant geographic feature. With three rivers converging, ( the Columbia, the Yakima and the Snake) the area allows for wonderfull water recreation. Three resturaunts have docks you can pull into and enjoy a fine meal, and there are two public docks with motels and restaraunts just a short walk away. Boaters enjoy fishing, skiing and site seeing as well as just plain ol relaxing. With over 300 days of sunshine a year and very affordable housing and a strong economy this is a great place to call home. … (2 comments)
